Turning a Negative Thought into
a Positive
Our thoughts are powerful
energy forms that we set loose into the
universal energy field. Carelessly chosen
in a fit of anger negative thoughts are
damaging to the energy field of the person
transmitting, the energy field of the person
receiving, while polluting the universal
energy field.
Science today can demonstrate
the deleterious effects of negative thoughts
on humans, animals, plants, water, and all
living matter.
We have the power to choose
our thoughts by focusing our attention on
the positive. We have all heard of the option
of looking at the wine glass as half full
or half empty. Well, we have the power to
choose always to focus on the wine that
is in the glass, rather than the wine we
suppose is not.
When faced with a challenge
like an accident or an illness, we can choose
to think of this experience as a curse or
a burden to stay in a negative mode. Faced
with the same challenge we can choose to
focus on finding the lesson in this and
growing with it.
In either case, we have the
broken arm, or the chronic disease. We have
to deal with it, live with it, or treat
it regardless of our attitude. If we accept
the experience as a challenge, rather than
calling it a curse, we make that healing
time much easier.
As we choose our thoughts
and our words more carefully, we automatically
diminish and eliminate the darkness and
negativity from our lives.
When tempted to fall into
old habits of negativity, look at the situation
in a different way. Focus on looking for
that one speck of light, love, hope, or
joy. Now, see and describe the situation
from the speck of light.
Eliminate from your thoughts
and your ready vocabulary all expressions
like:
-
with my luck, I won’t
get chosen
-
if there’s a
bug going around, I always get it
-
kids today aren’t
responsible
-
I’ll try, but
I don’t know
-
I could never do that
-
I’m not good
enough, strong enough, pretty enough,
etc.
Change your paradigm by turning
your thoughts and words around:
-
I always have a chance
of being chosen.
-
I am thankful for my
strong immune system. I resist disease.
-
I see more and more
kids who are responsible today.
-
I do my best always.
Birds just fly. They don’t try!
-
I can do anything I
set my mind to.
-
I can do that if I
set my goals, do the work, and allow
it to happen.
-
I love myself the way
I am, and support myself in expanding.
When you find yourself in
a new situation, choose the way you think
about the experience to illuminate the positive.
Choose words like challenge, lesson, and
opportunity for growth, while discarding
words like curse, burden, and suffering.
Use powerful action words
to describe your abilities, while setting
your goals, and then moving into positive
action. Use action words that describe the
feeling of already having the experience
you desire.
Remember that we are beings
of energy, love, and light. Our thoughts,
words, and actions are expressions of changing
energy. Positive thoughts and words of gratitude,
compassion, love, respect, and encouragement
attract more of the same. Similarly, negative
thoughts, words, and actions of deprivation,
disdain, fear, anger, and denigration attract
more of the same. Like attracts like energy.
With the power of choice you
can change your thoughts before expressing
them in words. With the power of attraction
you can co-create your reality.
